The 2017 Brenda’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon opens with concentrated aromas of cassis, dark cherry, and black plum, enriched by undertones of tobacco leaf, dark chocolate, and sweet oak. On the palate, layers of coffee, fig, and black olive unfold alongside hints of clove and warm spice. The tannins are well-integrated and refined, giving the wine a supple yet powerful texture, balanced by a long, harmonious finish.

Named in honor of my mother, Brenda Baldacci, who embodies wisdom, beauty, and grace, this wine captures my attention with each vintage. Every vineyard block has a unique personality, and throughout the growing season, I focus on the blocks that show the most concentrated and consistent fruit profile. During fermentation, I watch for deep, dark color and evolving complexity. The wine is then aged in hand-selected French oak barrels with a medium to heavy toast that complements the rich fruit.The tannins from the fruit intertwine with the oak tannins to create a texture that is both seductive and captivating. This is a wine to be savored and set aside for life’s most significant moments. It is both a celebration and an homage in a bottle.
