Winery Ranch
Our Winery Ranch is located in the heart of the world-renowned Stags Leap District in Napa Valley, just outside of Yountville. We purchased this property in 1998 and we've never looked back. We have twelve unique vineyard blocks with various combinations of Cabernet Sauvignon clones and root stocks to match our diverse soils. In 2019, we re-contoured our two most diverse blocks to enhance the native terroir. Block 1 was deep ripped and more than 100 tons of volcanic material were incorporated from the tailings of our new production cave. This material adds drainage and a mineral profile to the soil, which brings complexity to our wines. Block 7 was re-terraced and has been planted in a traditional 1 x 1 meter configuration to take advantage of the south eastern exposure. These vines are head-trained, harking back to one of the oldest cultivation systems used for wine grapes.

Honey B Vineyard
Our Honey B Vineyard on Cuttings Wharf Road in the Los Carneros AVA is a 20 acre parcel planted to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot and Gewürztraminer. We have owned the vineyard since 2008 and we love this cool climate region. Our Wente Chardonnay clone is the backbone of our white wine program while the Calera clone brings richness to our Pinots. Both the Merlot and Syrah are part of our Fraternity Red Wine Blend while the Gewürztraminer finds a home in a late harvest expression. We've also embarked on a new sparkling wine project made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The expansiveness of this region is extraordinary while the mild climate and low elevation provide consistency and predictability to our farming practices. We love the opportunity to stretch ourselves beyond the Cabernet Sauvignon wines that are the hallmark of our family's brand.

Stella Knight Vineyard
In 2013, the estate vineyard porfolio once again expanded with the purchase of the Stella Knight Vineyard. The 8.5 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are located in Calistoga, at the base of the Diamond Mountain District. Although this region is one of the hottest parts of the Napa Valley, the vineyard sits in the shadow of the mountain, allowing the vines to experiences an extraordinary diurnal swing of more than 50°F (10°C). The vineyard is divided into three blocks with various degrees of slope, volcanic bedrock and sediment. Smaller berries with thicker skins bring yet another dimension of Cabernet Sauvignon to our portfolio.

Oakville
We work with two growers in the Oakville AVA to produce our Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2014 we began purchasing fruit from UC Davis sourced from The Old Federal Vineyard which is perhaps the most significant vineyard in the state if not the world. It has contributed more to our industry's understanding of viticulture than any other vineyard. Located on the north side of Oakville Grade the Oakville Research Station began with Hiram Crabb and the California Viticulture Commissioners in the 1880s. Beginning in 2016 we added fruit from the 80 acre Lincoln Creek Vineyard located between Highway 29 on the west and the Napa River on the east. It is named for a small creek that cuts through the middle of the vineyard and adds texture to the final wine.

Coombsville
We have worked with the Herrera family for over 15 years. Throughout this time, Rolando Herrera has brought to us various opportunities to source fruit from top wine growing regions. His Coombsville vineyard is just one source where we have found a quality and expression that upholds our style but which also offers another viewpoint on Cabernet Sauvignon.

Howell Mountain
The Heitz family has owned a beautiful vineyard located off of Ink Grade in the Howell Mountain AVA. This area is known for small berries, low yields and a shorter growing season. We welcomed the opportunity to work with this well-known vineyard and to create a wine from this classic mountain AVA.

Russian River Valley
We started our Russian River Valley Pinot Noir project with fruit from a vineyard that Rolando Herrera manages. Our first vintage from this region was 2006 and we have continued to create a six barrel expression each year. The acid profile is more pronounced which adds length and elegance to Pinot Noir from this region.

Napa Valley
We work with fantastic growers all throughout the Napa Valley to create our only blended wine. Our base is always from our estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Franc. From there, we seek out partnerships for additional fruit from various regions to add dimension and structure to our Fraternity Red Wine Blend.

Mt. Veeder
Newton Vineyards is one of the most well-known growers on Mt. Veeder. This AVA is recognized for having the longest growing season and the lowest yields in Napa Valley. The rugged mountain terrain, with extremely steep slopes, ensure that the vines grow well above the fog line and that the shallow topsoil with minimal water retention results in tiny berries, with intense flavor concentration yet slightly softer tannins. It is also the only hillside appellation in Napa Valley that benefits from the cooling influence of San Pablo Bay
