The Legacy Continues...
|Founded in 1997, Thomas Baldacci continues the legacy of crafting premium Stag's Leap District wines.
The Baldacci Family Vineyards property was purchased from the Eagan Family in 1997. Initially, Thomas Baldacci intended only to make a real estate investment, but something about the land unlocked his imagination.
"Napa Valley is a dream. I built this winery as a lasting heritage for my family and to continue the Napa tradition of building premium Cabernet Sauvignon wines from the Stag's Leap District."
He believed then, as he does now, that the enjoyment of great winemaking and the opportunity to build a lasting legacy for their family was a dream worth pursuing.
Today, Baldacci Family Vineyards includes 45 acres of Estate vineyards, an on site winemaking facility and a unique system of wine caves beneath a volcanic knoll. The expert vineyard management team carefully nurtures the vine growth, ensuring that the grapes reach their maximum potential to create concentrated flavors and excellent tannic structure.
In 2003, Rolando Herrera took over as winemaker, bringing incredible experience and undying passion to the winemaking process. Under the watchful eyes of Rolando and his brother Ricardo, all of the grapes are minimally handled allowing their unique attributes to come through in the finished wine. Every sip of wine unleashes special qualities of the land and winemaking legacy of the Baldacci Family.
